Progetto di costituzione per il popolo Ligure presentato al governo provvisorio dalla commisione legislativa. [and the Riforma della costituzione fatta dal governo provvisorio.], published in 1797, outlines a new constitution for the people of Liguria, located on the coast of the Mediterranean in the northwest part of Italy. The Introduction of the book states, “The Ligurian people, considering that in the past they have been disheartened, and have become subject to an aristocratic and hereditary government, and are separated in different classes, have established one constitution founded on the true principles of liberty and equality.”
